2013_GRID_Baselworld_002-VIDEO

GRID is an audiovisual live show by Robert Henke und Christopher Bauder combining kinetic movement, light animation and electronic live music.

50 motorized suspended LED-rod triangles form a massive dynamic GRID. Live generated sound connects directly to light animations and triggers spatial movements. Every sound and fragment of music composed by Robert Henke (Monolake) corresponds to a visual impulse and spatial alteration of the mechatronic display.

GRID has its premiere at the opening ceremony for the new Basel trade fair building (designed) by Herzog & de Meuron in April 2013. GRID will be performed live at various upcoming events in different constellations of up to 120 triangular units in a 30×15 meter arrangement. This makes GRID the largest Kinetic Lights installation so far.
