SKALAR
2020 - Amsterdam, Netherlands
WHITEvoid
In January 2020, light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray presented a new 360° version of their monumental audio-visual kinetic art installation SKALAR. Since its debut, SKALAR has delighted over a hundred thousand people and reshaped the landscape of modern art exhibitions.
SKALAR resided in the iconic Gashouder in Amsterdam. It is a large-scale art installation that explores the complex impact of light and sound on human perception. By combining a vast array of kinetic mirrors and perfectly synchronized moving lights with a sophisticated multi-channel sound system, SKALAR offers an audio-visual narration of radiant light vector drawings and multi-dimensional sound in enormous pitch-dark spaces.
