WINCHES

KINETIC LIGHTS offers a family of products for a wide range of applications. The main application of our high precision winches is the synchronous spatial choreography of large light arrays. In addition, we offer specialized winch systems, e.g. for heavy loads or for the transmission of data and video signals.

All winches have power and signal lines integrated into the carbon fiber reinforced hoisting cables. Our systems make it easy to combine different winches and lighting into a unified design for seamless control of large installations and multiple connected objects.

WINCH XL

XL winches are real heavy lifters, allowing you to move loads up to 50 kg and attach AC powered objects such as lasers, moving heads or TV screens.

WINCH L

L winches are your solution when you need high speeds and greater lifting ranges. They also allow you to transmit more power to each fixture or object you attach.

WINCH M

M winches are our standard for a wide range of setups. You can control individual fixtures or connect larger fixtures to multiple winches. They can transmit anything from a simple DMX dimming signal to control of individual pixels and even video.

WINCH S

S winches are best for smaller setups or arrays with a large number of smaller objects. Don’t underestimate them - the effect of hundreds or even thousands of synchronized moving fixtures is always a highlight.

All mechanical parts and connections designed with a safety factor of 10
Self-locking gearbox acts as a brake when disengaged
Active electromagnetic brake with corresponding brake control on L and XL winches
High quality limit switches for upper and lower hardware limits (adjustable lower limit)
All cables, electrical components and housing materials are UL listed and have passed all relevant fire tests

QUALITY

High quality motors, gearboxes, encoders and slip rings for long life, high speed and low noise operation
All load cables reinforced with carbon fiber strands
All our products are manufactured and assembled in Germany and the Netherlands
Each unit undergoes a thorough and documented test routine followed by a 5 day burn-in
