SKALAR

2021 - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

NOOR Festival

SKALAR is an art installation that explores the complex impact of light and sound on human perception created by light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray. 38-minute sequence presented at the Noor Riyadh Festival is a mix of synchronized colored lights, moving mirrors and a soundscape of multi-channel electronic music.

The generative luminous structure controlled by our KLC software, encompasses a perfectly synchronous interplay of Mirrors Disc with Winch M Pixel, moving lights, and a multichannel sound system – elevating creative possibilities to a whole new level.

The work by the German artist and French musician has been seen in several venues and can be seen here in a customized form. The high-ceilinged room was transformed into another world, and visitors lingered there in a meditative state, according to the exhibition organizers.
